I ran one of my papers into it, mind blown how well they dumbed it down without losing too much details (still quite a lot was ommitted). I wonder if it's domain specific, and I wonder what's the variance by topic.

Firstly great work! I dabbled with AMD GPUs and ROCm support a year ago, and it was obvious AMD still a long way from catch ling up with Nvidia. While opting for JAX is in an interesting approach, what were the challenges for you deviating

We have some sand to thank. Jokes aside, it is still mind boggling how most of the manufacturing is still dominated by very few companies, it's the perfect setup for WWIII

There is more glaring issue, ROCm doesn't even work well on most AMD devices nowadays, and hip performance wise deterioriates on the same hardware compared to ROCm.

To add to the discussion, from a practical perspective, AMD hardware totally sucks and yet to have proper implementation with flash-attention-2. ROCm is moving to usable slowly, but not close to being even comparable with cuda.

Doesn't that depends in the sound system setup ie hardware? I tried vehemently to fix it once with JamesDSP with no avail. My understanding then was the need for hardware support like Dolby or something. It was always an issue with mus
