Hunh? I've had an archive option in OS X Mail since (I think) 10.8. Message->Archive. Or Command-control-A. Or there's also a toolbar button to do it (you may need to customize to get it, though, I don't recall if it

For context, see the previous story: "How Mavericks ruined Apple Mail for Gmail users" https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=6601202 Of course, folks there complained about it being a non-issue, too.

Doesn't Apple's Safari take the approach that Zikes proposes[0]? As far as I know, all you need to publish extensions is to sign up for a free developer certificate key, and then you sign the extension yourself. [0]. https:/

It was a 'this day in history' — not only was it one year ago, it was any photo taken on that day. Which was even more awesome. I have 15 year old photos in my library. It was really cool to slowly relive long-passed vacations

Dammit. That sucks. I am (well, was) a paying member of Everpix and I loved it. It was very great. It surprises me that this is how I found out about the closing. They haven't sent out the notifications to members yet, it seems. G

Here's an interesting response[1] from Michael Everson back in 1997. Also interesting is that there's already a reserved area in the CSUR (ConScript Unicode Registry) for it[2], and you may even have a font that shows it[3]! I w

Interesting that such a seemingly well-designed piece of malware would have such an obvious tell (refusing to boot from any other hard disk). Although I suppose that it is a rare thing to do. (Now's the time to check…) Also fascinati
