But that's is expending a whole lot of energy to "remove" earth's orbital velocity[1]. Why remove it when you can just deflect the rocket by the gravity of Venus and redirect the rocket directly towards the sun? Or are

I'm not so sure. Unless I'm missing something, he doesn't demonstrate that this 'backdoor' is in use. It looks like they were using an escalation backdoor in `systemsetup`, but quickly patched a fix after 10.8.5.

Yes, but that security update doesn't include this patch. Apple confusingly lists the security updates in 10.10.3 and Security Update 2015-004 together, but not all items apply to 10.9. The very first item listed on the page is this

Even if you forked on GitHub, you can ask the staff to "detach" or "extract" your fork from the existing network. Detaching only un-forks your repo, whereas extracting makes your fork the new root and preserves any sub-

Strange lede for a cool technology. I suppose it is how they managed to get funding, but the other uses are much more interesting. There's a lot more detail in the linked article about imaging Fukushima Daiichi: http://mot

To me, the Sam Smith "Won't Back Down" case was much more straight-forward: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkcZV97O3pw But that's a very simple chord progression with common vocal hits, whereas this case

CNet's downloader app looks like it's signed. It warns that it was downloaded from a website (which it was), but you don't have to do the right-click-open song and dance.

I think an even better argument for breaking up the NSA is that there's a fourth category of work they (should) do that's totally unrelated to surveillance and that I'd classify as "very good:" actively working to s

What's interesting to me is that there seems to be an inverse correlation between pushes per repository and the number of forks. Are forks counted as individual repositories? That would be a boring explanation.
