Perhaps they are talking about a shift[1] in focus in how Google makes money from just presenting ads to actually delivering end-to-end shopping/procurement/vending. I know it is already possible with cost per lead and cost per action but "

I actually use tab -> enter to send and I find it quite convenient. Why are people complaining about this when we've all tacitly admitted top posting? IMO bigger problems are that email ought to be plain text by default and replies ough

How would you divide your $100 between the POTUS-hopeful, the two Senator-hopefuls, and the House-member-hopeful? Do you hedge and give money to more than one candidate? Do you pool your money together to a pool fund[1]? How is this $100 s

I'd like to believe Chrome* users are usually up to date on version numbers. We could update the library cache on a different schedule from browser updates. Finally, we could fall back to a CDN (with further fall back to your own server?) i

Will we see (a few very) popular frameworks like jQuery built into web browsers with the server just declaring what version to use? (I have a feeling that, although I have good intentions, this is a bad idea.) Thoughts?

This makes sense why American Express automated prompt keeps telling me that "I can see the number you are calling from matches the number on your record" (or something like that). My first thought was how trivial it is to spoof the system.

For people on smartphones, here is what tehwebguy wrote: -- Smith: Take an account with a $100,000 balance and reduce it by 2 percent a year. At the end of 50 years, that 2 percent annual charge would subtract $63,000 from your account, a l

So instead of paying for health insurance if we get sick, the system promises us that we will pay for managed care all the time. Isn't that the promise of HMO? What is different between a "Medical home"? Do we need government action or do

I'd like to give credit to Google where it is due. With takeout, it is very easy to get quite a bit of your information. You already could get your emails by IMAP or POP but still Google set a standard with Takeout :) This makes it possible
