They do both work, you're correct. However the point of subreddit_name_prefixed (I assume) is to display something in a user-facing way. For this purpose, r/u_something is correct but not proper.

It does wander quite a bit (such as the section on maintaining a static-site blog), but I was fascinated because the topics were generally things I have experience with. To answer your question, Paul made much of his work for the past sever

I paid $117 for the 3-year plan with custom domain (and that price is discounted slightly from the normal 3-year price), which comes out to $3.25 per month. So, definitely not under 2 dollars, but easily under 4.

WaitButWhy is an entertaining collection of thoughts on various topics (some tech, many not). It doesn't post very often, but it has a strong back-catalogue. https://waitbutwhy.com/

Regarding getting off of Gmail: I switched away from Gmail at the start of 2018. So far everything has gone smoothly. My new email provider (Fastmail) has a tool to import all emails from another provider, which ran overnight. I forward all

My experience with Reddit mobile web has been frustrating, because every page has a secondary loading period that is entirely unnecessary and seems to only be loading styling and JS libraries. The old Reddit mobile (i.reddit.com, I believe)

I use passff too. It's more confusing to set up than it should be, and I just recently had an issue with the new update, but when it works it's great.

The beauty of Pandoc! I discovered Pandoc in the past few months thanks to a post on HN, and I've been going out of my way to involve it in my projects because it's so fascinating to me. Pandoc: https://pandoc.org/

I can confirm that the author's approach doesn't work well for photographed pages. I took a photograph[0] of a page of notes, and due to the shadow, the results[1] were very unsatisfactory. [0]: https://i.imgur.com/

I switched to Fastmail from Gmail at the end of 2017. While it's of course not as privacy-oriented as ProtonMail, it is sufficient for my needs. Like you, I realized that Google's interests didn't line up with my own, and I w
