You would be better at conveying your point if you could manage it without insults.

Calling me obtuse doesn't add anything of value to the discussion. I was pointing out the multithreaded benchmark in response to the claim that there were none. Read kllrnohj's response that is the sibling to your comment to see h

It's really not clear what you are trying to argue here. The number of single-threaded benchmarks are irrelevant to this point: when the M1 was compared to the 5950X in a multithreaded comparison: * The 5950X was 2x faster * The 5950X

> This is a very misleading statement. They primarily only used the 5950X in single-core tests, and in those tests it doesn't come remotely close to 105W. In fact per Anandtech's own results[1] the 5950X CPU core in a single-co

The Zen3 processor that they are comparing it to is the 5950x - the fastest desktop processor with a TDP of 105W. The entire system power of the M1 mini under load was 28W. What the article is pointing out is that the mobile low-power versi

I prefer that they change labels in a context-sensitive way. For keys that I don't use that often the icon is a better trade-off than a tactile response. Sliders are useful as well.

I doubt that my IP address is a globally unique identifier. I can think of 15-20 devices that are sharing it now. Advertising networks jump through a lot of hoops to tie those devices together in a small cluster of user profiles. How does t

I took another look, it's not a y/n prompt as I wrote before. It lists all the settings and asks for confirmation. Each of the other settings requires a trip to the docs to find out how to change before re-running. The telemetry i

There are 17 lines of text output to verify the installation choices, of them 5 are devoted to opting out of the anonymous telemetry. The wording seems clear. NOTE: Anonymous usage stats will be collected and sent to Google Analytics.

I can't give you a direct link to such an article, although I can do a bit more and less. Five years I was writing such an article, although sadly I got side-tracked by other activities, I still have the rough outline that I was workin

Most students approach courses as a form of top-down search with a cache for items they see often. It is generally difficult to get them to reason about subjects from the bottom up. A smaller proportion of students approach courses from the

Have you considered hiring remotely? (I read your recruitment pages and while it does not say that you don’t explicitly your hiring process looks as if you are recruiting only for on-site positions).

While it is true that SLOC is not a good measure, this does not mean that no good measure uses SLOC. Much of the variance comes a lack of information about coding style and algorithmic approach. But it's not the 90s anymore. In the pre
