I love Firefox but I'm going to start exploring other options for open source browsers. It's obvious from this layoff that their priorities are off. The CEO should be fired.

That's odd, because my operating system, available software repositories, and desktop environment are all pretty great.

To those downvoting... Why is Bandar bin Sultan still free? Why was information suppressed by congress concerning Bandar sending $130,000 to the two 9/11 hijackers? Why has the Bush family never been questioned about their close friend

It doesn't matter how long. The "go-to" source should have integrity, along with no financial stake in the issues at hand.

It's 2020 and if you are still against legalization, or at least decriminalization, you are the enemy. It's no longer incumbent on anyone else to explain to you why the drug war is immoral, prejudiced, and stupid. Violence is expl

It's inconsistency of dose that kills opioid addicts, that's one of many reasons why legalization is preferable.

Find someone who can help you with devops so that you're not afraid to make updates! I would take the parent post's suggestion about pricing. Other than that, this project looks awesome. Keep going!

No, only vapid pop music follows that one-hit-wonder blueprint. In almost every other genre the expectation is that a great album will be consistently great. Sorry that you know of only ten decent bands, when there are actually tens of thou

I really can't be bothered to argue in depth but in the backdrop of record high wealth inequality in the US, your idea that the poor just need to spend less is beyond ridiculous.

In principle? Not sure what that means, but the incentives of a negative income tax vs. a UBI are different and that's why a UBI is preferable.

UBI is no more susceptible to this than a minimum wage raise, for example. Basic rent controls and other affordable housing initiatives are usually advocated by UBI proponents. There's no reason we can't have both.

Something no one ever talks about with UBI is how the effects will be eliminated in a few years. The very things poorer people would buy from it would get more expensive by the UBI proportion, it will just be inflated away. Someone brings

You are basing your opinion on your "visions" of what may have resulted from some state lottery? What does this even have to do with a UBI?

The more significant difference is that you lose unemployment benefits when you start working again, whereas with UBI there's no disincentive to work.

This is the whole point of a UBI actually. The garbage companies would have to pay more, but the result would be that instead of no garbage man, the garbage man now just works 20 hours a week and takes more vacations. And because this vital

It was a proxy war, a point which you've just made half of the case for. The US bombing of Cambodia was without a doubt a defining factor in this event. It killed between 100,000 and 400,000 Cambodians, how could it not be? I have met
