The only scifi I see is absolute stupidity. Even me with my homelab and a slow opensource agent use a completely disconnected setup. No, no proxy. Cached packages but no internet. It is the very first thing I built when I started experiment

I use vagrant on a seperate machine in a seperate network. The magic of ssh makes it transparent for me, and I feel pretty sure the agents cannot get to stuff that matters.

Same. And now, my AI agent uses Vagrant to validate it's ansible yaml before it creates pull requests. It even does `vagrant up` inside a running vagrant when making changes to Vagrantfiles.
