This is the Q factor that everyone omits when doing the calculus on their own journeys. The pre- and post-flight nonsense are basically another trip entirely.

Not sure why the parent comment is being downvoted —- the allegations against the current administration for bypassing the financial and credit checks for high-level security clearances are very relevant to the discussion. The whistleblower

I mean, if someone wanted to move to the country to become a gentleman or family farmer, there’s simply no better place to do it than rural Italy.

I didn’t follow the previous discussion, but if I were a conspiracist, I’d think that someone in the US government is already or has the potential to be exposed as a Grindr user, and is therefore using their influence to keep the informatio

Because you’re not just telegraphing it to your competitor, you’re moving the entire market and affecting the bid/ask and price transparency for all its participants. That affects liquidity, derivatives, a lot of downstream negatives.

The problem with hooking up to freight trains are numerous. First, the ride is bumpy. Freight trains add/remove cars throughout the journey, which generates large bumps. More troublesome, though, are freight rail yards. They don’t have

You need customers signed up and ready to pay well before you have a product ready to launch. Having a co-founder who is good at outreach, sales, and making connections is honestly more important than having a finished product, so you shoul

I have the same Jabra headphones with my iPhone X and MBP. Great product. Jabra is a calls-first company, so the talk clarity is incredible, and the Bluetooth pairing is strong enough to walk between rooms. The very best feature, though, is

Tinco is correct, I bought before the MtGox crash at around $30 but used them as my exchange to do the trade, and never pulled them into a wallet.

Everything I used to buy the BTC was anonymized (cash deposit, throwaway email address). I have all my MtGox login information but can't access the email address I used to verify anything. Any way I can still file a claim?

There’s been a lot of heated discussion about this on HN previously, but it would be interesting to know 1) how big of a problem it is, and 2) what people are buying that seem to have this problem. My household buys on average 10-20 items f

I lost some 2010 BTC (trading at ~$30) in the MtGox failure, and then missed the window to make a claim. Harsh.

Stripe and Square both identify consumers by their unique CC numbers. If I swipe my card on a square reader, it recognizes me and asks if I want a receipt sent to my phone or email, even if I’ve never purchased from that vendor before.
