Haha, thanks so much! `edgedb-server --help` is pretty elaborate, but yeah, we don't have an official page. What kind of info are you looking for?

Yes, we'll have it. We need to implement proper extension system to be able to integrate GPL-licensed extensions. On our todo.

Yes, we want to have query builders for all languages. If you love Rust and have time to contribute we'd love some help. Figuring out a great QB Rust API might take some time.

Automatically - we might have some built-in scripts in time for 3.0. You can migrate manually now by writing some sql/edgeql scripts.

I'm going to start writing some case studies soon about how various companies use EdgeDB in prod. I'm sure we'll spot some interesting schemas and patterns to share :)

Will be a feature of 3.0 in 6 months. We want to do it right and allow transparent integration with things like elastic, as well as allowing faceted search.

I also recommend looking at EdgeQL -- https://www.edgedb.com/showcase/edgeql -- a new query language aimed to eliminate some of the SQL quirks. (I'm a co-founder)

EdgeDB [1] has indeed a rich GraphQL layer, but it's a very different project. While it also builds on top of Postgres, EdgeDB replaces the entire relational database front-end. EdgeDB features a SQL replacement language called EdgeQL

Regarding extensions: we plan to wrap the most popular ones like PostGIS to give them idiomatic EdgeQL flavor. We need to do a bit of work to make that the right way. Sum types can be modeled with inheritance. You can create an abstract bas

Yep, we have plans for that. We are exploring if it would be feasible to make it possible to plug-in external engines like elastic and make that integration totally automatic, enabled with a simple annotation in the schema.
