What's the reduction from 3-SAT to "guessing correctly"?

Because believing P != NP means, and is frequently invoked as a justification that : 1) we no longer have to keep looking for a P time algo, and 2) ah, that's why we couldn't solve that -- because we proved it is in NP, and P isn&

It's cool that this paper exists as a counterpoint to the pervasive culture of defeat around P == NP. People want to believe P != NP so they feel better about how they failed to prove it, or make a faster algorithm. This is ridiculous

Ads are okay. Classy print ads are classy. 5 quid is way too much. Regardless of how the product is seen internally, 5 quid for what is perceived by the customer as a commodity ( a newspaper ) is too much.

Well if you can get that from reality -- that's your "$1b" -- if you can get what you want, that is the key, is it not? :) Who doesn't want success may be a more apt way of putting it. Or even, who __wants__ to be frustr

Wanting it is one thing. Do you have the skill to get it is another? People talk a lot of trash excusing themselves for not having the skill to get it, pretending that they never wanted it. You only have the luxury of the choice you talk of

It means people invent invectives to satisfy their own deluded psychologies, independent of any merits of what they say. They fabricate narratives that make it easier for them to live with themselves, and disown responsibility, in favour of

The point, depends, on where you are standing. And unless you are me, you're standing somewhere slightly different. Skepticism. So unsatisfying...like a cop out. Far better to barge ahead pretending that your POV is the one true way. S

Well, college is about people of a diversity of opinions, even I guess those who believe that their spending money is included... For instance, I'm glad that auto insurance is included, since it isn't expressly prohibited :)

If I tar myself with the same brush -- what of it ? If what I say is correct, even if I express the same dysfunctional pattern, what of it? The fact that I may or may not see it in myself doesn't affect my ability to see it in other pe

Sure it would be fun. Meet some cool people, get a few nice letters. And Israel is cool. Like to spend more time in that part of the world. One question I couldn't find the answer to -- how much?

Out of touch with what? I think the person who is out of touch with reality is the person who doesn't know how to get what they want from reality. And who doesn't want " 1 billion dollars " ?

No. It's getting worse and worse. Tho the quality of the thinking when hand-writing and when typing is different. For that, currently, it is irreplaceable.
