It’s been quite hilarious for me watching this saga unfold. All I needed to hear was that this man literally took out loans from WeWork and used the proceeds of the loans to purchase real estate that he then leased back to WeWork. Lol!

I don’t see why not, as long as you make it clear what it is. E.g., if a C API is handing me an opaque handle that I need to pass around to the rest of the API, I don’t need to know that it’s a pointer (I’m not the one dereferencing it) and

No, I’m not going to drag in C++ and all of its baggage if all I need is some form of generics. It’s really not as simple as, “Just use C++!” If I truly need type-safe generics and C11 is an option, I’d rather go with that any day!

Maybe it’s different for iCloud users, because 1Password doesn’t let me upgrade to version 7 without paying for a cloud subscription (by the way, I use Dropbox for my data).

I’m actually on the same boat, and I haven’t been able to upgrade to any of the newer releases of 1Password due to this. I feel exactly the same way. I refuse to cave though!

I recommend every software engineer download/purchase Dash ( https://kapeli.com/dash ). It’s worth more than whatever that I paid for it (probably like $50, I think). That app is a lifesaver; especially when I’m offlin

I’ve been writing JavaScript for at least a decade now (way before all of these fancy frameworks, build systems, etc.), and yesterday, I googled “JavaScript addEventListener” so that I could remember how to use it. I’d love for someone to t

I’ve confirmed this same type of behavior in several of Google’s products as well, as part of an experiment a couple friends and I ran a several months back, using fake personas, to see how feasible it’d be for one to simply exist w/o

As a principle, I never work on products that employ dark patterns, such as making account deletion hard or impossible, to control their users and/or content. I find it sad that we even need a directory for what I consider to be a fund

Speaking from experience, JIRA is just horrible (at least for me as a software engineer and entrepreneur). I’ve wasted way too much of my precious time dealing with JIRA, so I’m all for any software company working to improve that experienc
