Actually, I just did some Googling and apparently there are a couple of ISPs in my country that do naked DSL. It costs more than twice than a landline and a 20Mbps connection.

"(...) traditional landline users ( all six of you left )" Is having a landline so old-fashioned in the US? It's not the first time that I see this kind of comment, but it's shocking to me, since for most ISPs in many countries you must h

Ah, yes, that. I didn't remember it, since it was solved in a few hours and it was not a horrible security hole, just a problem with permissions in feeds: www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=2014195

Maybe I am going off on a tangent here, but... why not just use an AsyncTask with a synchronous HTTP petition inside? I am a novice in the Android SDK, but it just seems easier.

Yep, it's US only. You can add the sites to the list but they're not blocked if you're not in the US.

Earth holds about 1.26x10^21 liters (source: http://science.howstuffworks.com/environmental/earth/geophys... ). So 140 trillion times that would be 1.764x10^35, or about 176 decillion liters . I don't know what to do with these numbers ei

> if you've rooted your phone yourself, any OS security is null and void Are you sure? If I am not mistaken, even with a rooted phone, a program has to ask the user for root permission via the Superuser.apk app.

But you own your domain. In your case, if Google disabled your Gmail or Apps accounts, it'd be just a minor annoyance, because your e-mail address would still work after a DNS change. Google owning your data is not the problem here, while

Well, if you use a PHP framework or library, of course there are easier and less verbose ways to prepare SQL statements. I don't think RoR vs PHP would be an apples to apples comparison.

Hm, are you sure? I have a couple accounts there (and they are appearing in the dump) and they are not simply md5(password). Of course they were long, random passwords and I don't play this game anymore, but I'm curious. Where did you read

I have seen tutorials about that method in several forums. People were adding funds to their account for free and downloading tons of paid content. That's plain stealing, and I'm happy that Sony may be fixing that.

I am not 100% sure if that extension is totally blocking the Flash files. Last time I checked it, it was only applying a "display: none" with CSS, and some files slipped past it, making it ineffective against 0-day exploits.
