There is nothing to stop the service provider from offering a profile on their website. With a short URL the costumer could set it up right from the store using the wifi connection and 2 taps. These profiles can even be signed.

Just not true. The settings are still there and were in the iOS6 betas as well. I know because I would have been affected. Even if the settings were gone from the UI it would still be possible to set them with profiles, which can be distrib

These two things are not mutually exclusive. The important things to do in this case are figuring out which part of the website is header, nav etc and not refreshing them while navigating. It is not about performance savings, it's about th

After careful consideration and reading the page again, I retract everything I said and claim the opposite. The use of ligatures for icons is ingenious!

Not to mention it seems plain wrong . These are icons, not ligatures.

Looking at their 30 day chart I am more concerned with what happened 2 weeks ago. Spike of packet loss, then less traffic overall?

+1 for Pandocs extensions. I can verify that is sufficient for producing a doctoral dissertion (in German; not my own…), via LaTeX. The way Pandoc handles citations, footnotes, tables(!), etc is just delightful.

I struggled with that until I looked at it from a parser perspective: links start with [] because () are much more commons in normal language.

The author (or his company) always has the copyrights (if it is not sold) and thus can license it any way(s) wanted, for example und open source licenses. Authors in certain countries can also release their code into the public domain -- th

It is true in the sense that there are conceivable ways to use FOSS without accepting the licence. There are common ways like dual-licensing (if the license is GPL and the company has all the copyrights they can still sell me a different li

Food for thought: If there would be such a license, one could still argue it offers not the most freedom possible. To take it to the extreme, the license could ask that all assets have to be in a format editable/compatible with FOSS :)

I think you got it almost right. The distinction is between Software and other Media (Images, Sounds). The Software has to be free because otherwise it could work against you (oversimplification). 'Source code' is misleading since, dependin

You're right, the main idea was to introduce people to Bitcoin in general. Right now putting in that coin, scanning the code, pasting and address and pressing the send button is the easiest way to donate to wikileaks from Germany :) The mec

But isn't this how schience is supposed to work? You ivent or pick a theory and then gather evidence to find out if it's true or not. It's not her fault there was no negative evidence piling up.
