In fact, only two or three decades ago it was standard for the telephone service to print everyone's name, address, and phone number in a big book, distribute it to every house and charge you $5 a month extra if you wanted to opt out o

I think it was more of a dry feeling on the tongue and palate than an actual flavor, kind of like a tongue depressor. At any rate, it was a weird experience for someone who grew up using stainless steel.

One company I used to work for went through a saga of finding the best compostable material for disposable cutlery. I think the first attempt was some black plastic thing that melted if you used it to cut an orange. Next was pressed bambo

Seems like there were three options: 1. Ship Word with Windows and not get paid for it, even though they had hundreds of engineers working on it. 2. Ship no word processor with Windows, and make the end user find one on their own. 3. Shi

It's not a totally meaningless check box. If the key for decrypting the disk is in the TPM, this fixes the case where the drive gets pulled and thrown in a recycle bin, then someone recovers data from it later.

There's a house down the street from me who had a "free stuff" pile sitting outside for a month or two. Just a few things, but they got replenished over time, and I'm sure the ones that were never picked up went to the
