Can this be refitted for noise reduction / audio restoration purposes? On hf they mention this is a "latent diffusion" model, I guess it implies there is a component inside that tries to recover noisy signal. [edit] If not, w

It's even more fun than I remember. This compiles without warnings with "gcc -Wall", and produces an error (declaration of x shadows a parameter) if f4 is uncommented struct S { int x; int f1() { int x =

No, it is referring to the x that is being initialized, and uses uninitialized memory to initialize x. -Wall will even print a helpful reminder. Compare: int f(int x) { int x = x; // second x is not argument

I very much enjoy udio, stable audio, suno and others. - it seems like lately most human musicians write music when they are angry or depressed, not when they are in a good mood. These tools are able to come up with a neutral or positive so

It's more like C++ made by that ISO committee and C++ used by actual users of C++ needs a divorce. They are so far up in the clouds adding features to language that mostly only help them to write less embarrasing standard library code,

https://cs.stanford.edu/~knuth/papers/cvm-note.pdf note how "u"s are selected every time value is not in a list. I don't read it as being a hash.

After skimming Knuth's paper — does the algorithm work if values are hashed, that is, the "uniform deviate" is selected deterministically for each unique value of the stream?

Definition of inline members definitely does not have to appear with declaration (and usually does not for legibility reasons). struct X { inline void f(); }; is a perfectly valid inline.

Everything mentions how much money it costs to build these things. Are there any sources or estimates on cost of maintaining them? E.g. how much a year it costs for Dubai to not shut down?

Even with a single mac, external drive is much cheaper and not much slower than built-in storage, and most importantly can be used to boot macos from it. Meaning, if your mac dies, you plug that drive into another mac and continue working
