Depending where you live local/state/fed government will keep maps. Topographic maps, flood risk maps, wildfire risk maps, maps of services nearby (substations, transformer locations, storm drains etc), easements, special planning

None of the above are examples of corruption? Corruption means being dishonest for personal gain. Do you think they're being paid to taser kids? The above just sound like outlying bad examples of millions of humans in stressful situati

That’s pretty naive. My mother and her friends love recounting stories about doing exactly that in the 1980s while travelling. Probably just a date at a restaurant but certainly it’s not unheard of. A glamorous date at a nice restaurant vs

I’m not the person you’re replying to but I do. And absolutely yes, I do. When I work from the office I’m gone longer (maybe 1.5 hours a day) but I’m significantly more present when I’m at home. If I WFH I’ll spend the evening ducking back

In most of the world yes. They’ll pay for PPE, tools, car, phone, uniform etc. Not a hard concept to grasp.

Exactly the same experience here. I think the downlights are designed with cooling in mind, whereas the bayonet style are just shoehorned into that form factor

FUD. This isn’t running a nuclear reactor it’s following some basic rules and common sense. Lifepo4 is much more stable than you seem to think.

I’m not clear whether the fund is specifically for natural gas plants? Surely any power source rated to provide power in emergency conditions would be a better idea and a level playing field?

If the government makes policy to allow huge immigration, it should make corresponding policy to ensure these people are housed. The housing crisis is not from organic population growth.

This is a little silly. Energy is obviously proportional to the mass and the height. A few kg of water and a few m of height will yield a minuscule amount of power. A very small solar panel and battery would be far less complex, cheaper an
