I see that as a feature. Templates should not do much logic, so it's a good idea that the templating language is simple. But you can always switch it for Jinja2, just a line in the settings file.

That's a long story in both cases. For the Tibet case, a great book about the history of China-Tibet relations and the role the British played in it is "The Snow Lion and the Dragon", free to read online: https://

They are not there to treat COVID-19, but to lower the "day to day load" of hospitals, so the hospitals have more capacity for COVID-19 patients. At least that's what they said on PBS Newshour.

Not really. Its just a number in the books. Whoever made that decision decades ago, got it right, luckily. But that's about it. Had this virus affected the kidneys instead of the lungs, the outcome would have been way different. Also,

Yep, that's the story the media here tells. Of course. "We are so exceptional, we Germans." In reality, we had just four times more ventilators available than any of the larger countries around us, so we never hit the "n

We were mostly lucky to have about four times as many ventilators as France or Italy. The numbers I read in two different sources: Germany has about 20,000 ventilator places, while France, Italy, Spain, and UK have about 5,000 each. So in G

Uighurs are not persecuted "because they are Muslim". Hui, the second largest Chinese ethnic group after Han, are Muslim too. And they are not persecuted in any way. Uighurs are persecuted for the same reason the CCP tries to dest

I very much agree about the last part. That is where the real catastrophe will likely happen, if there is no cure or vaccine found soon. But there is little that can realistically be done about it.

Even more absurd: if every person was legally required to wear a mask in public, the shutdown could be far less strict and many businesses could open again.

Sadly, that is very likely a main reason. Political discussion isn't so much about the exchange of views anymore, but about "winning" and "destroying" the other side. And there is a reason for that. There is an inte

I don't get it. How long can it take it build machines that produce masks? It's been weeks with this shortage. By now, there should be some production lines that spit out a couple of million a day off these things.
