This is something I've always wanted to write about, and I imagine that someday I'll end up with a long article, but basically, it's the idea that the internet used to be offline by default, and now it's online by defaul

The problem is not AI per se (which are only a mix of algorithms). The problem is that this new wave of AI is trained in propietary content, and the owners/creators didn't allow it in the first place. If this AI worked without tra

That is what happens when your dev learnt it from an online course instead of going to college or through proper education. "Anyone can code!"

It's easy to tell the article image is AI, easiest clue is guy's ear, the wire goes nowhere. But this is a placeholder image that has no purpose and it's there just because there has to be an image. No one pays attention.

I did this analogy in the past and I was way downvoted. Just for clarification, I use vibe-coding a lot in side projects where I don't know if I am going to release it at all, or when I know that a mistake in the code won't crash

Not, human tired of creating content to put online and being consumed not by people but by bots or any other form of mechanical consumption that I don't like. As the owner of the content I think I have the right to set that preference,

Congrats on both of you for putting the effort! I am from Buenos Aires, Argentina, so 100% same language as Borges. However, as both of you already said, it isn't even easy for us to read Borges. He has a complex sentence structure, an

Borges is totally recommended, of course, but after reading him in the original language I think his English translations lack the poetry and music of his writings. For once I am happy Spanish is my first language.

I have a blog with content about a non tech topic and I had any problem. I am all against AI scrappers, but I didn't notice any change being behind Cloudflare (funny enough, if I ask GPT and Claude about my website, they know it)

Yeah but cheaper alternatives (and open source and local ones) it would be super easy for most of the customers to migrate to a different provider. I am not saying they don't provide any value, but it's like paid software vs open

Silly question: how can OpenAI, Claude and all, have a valuation so large considering all the open source models? Not saying they will disappear or be tiny (closed models), but why so so so valuable?

I have published a lot of content about a particular topic online and I want it to be publicly accesible. A lot of people use it to create YouTube videos, that's fine (and a lot of them even cite me). I have a problem with LLM profitin

I know what you mean but I don't see it positive either. If each engineer is now a startup, it will be extra complicated to make money. It's like saying since all of us know how to write, we all can sell books.
