French is pretty good in my limited experience of having one way of pronouncing a written word (although I'll give you that Monsieur breaks all the rules). But for going from speech to writing it's no good. "Trois vers verts

All of those languages went through a deliberate reform where the language academy said "this is how we spell things from now on." English didn't really have that, but a bunch of dictionary writers did make changes that have

Yeah inside of Croatia itself there's a split between the former Venetian parts and the more inland parts. I know that when I guessed "hleb" (like Russian) for bread in Split I was told that that was a word for it but would

There's a perpetual quest in strength sports to create an equation that lets you compare the relative strength levels of athletes in different weight classes. In weightlifting the Sinclair formula uses allometric scaling to try to roug

Eh, a hunter spends hours or days to kill one animal reasonably quickly. A farm slaughters thousands of animals after raising them in absolutely cruel conditions. If I had the goal to make animals suffer fewer creature-hours of pain then fa

I'm seeing people decamp from NYC to their parents's and pay their school loans phenomenally fast, but not so much going elsewhere solo.

Riding a nice bike is an exercise in something that costs $20-$40 always needing fixing every so often. So I do Uber Eats when I ride every so often to offset that. Almost time for new rims though. It's not passive exactly, but it'

What bugs me about this is that there is untested powerlifting with better prizes. Go compete there if you want to take PEDs!! Of all the sports PL is the most honest in that it has that outlet at least, but it of course varies by country.

Writing documentation is 100% where the smallest bugs in your english skills come out, whereas speaking allows so much more in the way of context clues to let grammar mistakes slide. It's so tough. If it's any consolation, I have

If you're printing a résumé I cannot recommend LaTeX highly enough. It's a hassle to set up, it's niche so you'll probably only ever use it for your résumé unless you (re)enter academia, and the learning curve is a bear.
