Marcus still exists in the US. I use them for my savings account. They don't have anything besides that that I know of (checking, brokerage). Current APY 4.1% so as good as you can find in a savings account here.

I see cats writing software _with hardly any documentation_ like this and my brain melts. Power level strictly monotonic, possibly exponential, and very very large. Bravissima!

as a bit of a "yes, and" in order to hew to the Real Housewives format, we'll need the looming threat of federal prison for fraud. Season 3 of Salt Lake City is probably the best example of this, combining the eternal recurre

First usage I can think of is "boppers" in Paul Wall & Kanye West's 2005 "Drive Slow." It'd be a hell of a coincidence if they weren't related. In Wall's oeuvre it just seems to denote "the w

Wouldn’t that be limited to the single function?

I agree but I'd put in a carve out for the kind of gambling that reinforces sociality. Poker night with your neighbors or a fantasy football league with your pals from school (with a groupchat where you shit-talk one another) make some

Ambassador to a country with no currency or trade or airport. In the US it’s a meme that political donors get to be ambassador to one of the easy countries. Doesn’t get much easier than the Vatican.

the best intro to writing Haskell for me was writing Elm. The best intro to writing Elm was writing pointfree Codewars kata solutions in JS using with(require("ramda")) fn = pipe(…) And yep, you end up with a lot of folds
