As I said, anyone with serious embedded experience will understand my point. People who think triggering watchdog is a normal thing won’t.

Cooperative multitasking in embedded has to be the worst idea ever. Anyone who has done any serious work in embedded systems will tell you how bad is it when a faulty task blocks everything. Please stop advertising async in embedded.

Great article lelanthran. It’s always refreshing to see someone going against the popular opinion here and piss everyone off. Keep it up!

I don't know why people even use the cesspool that's LinkedIn. I deleted my account in 2012 because of their spam emails and haven't looked back since.

Because I don't like "magic". I can understand the appeal of one-liners that do the work of 100 (or more) lines of C but that's just not what I like to do. I like to be in control. I don't like side effects. "U

Doing embedded in almost exclusively C since 15 years. Never had a dull day.

But I don’t want a size parameter to be passed because I don’t necessarily (want to) have the size value at the call site. People on HN can cry all day about how bad C is and blah and blah. The truth is, C is the only language that gets shi

What’s your source saying more people write Rust than Ada? There are people outside HN.

More power to you. C is beautiful. Properly written C is more of an Art than Science. People who say C doesn’t work for large projects often forget that their cars run on C.

TLDR: Zig bad (like C), Rust good. Not surprised to see an article like this from a core Rust member after two positive articles for Zig on HN frontpage. Gotta keep that strong hold on HN!
