I would love to replace all my powershell build scripts with .cs files. imo there is lots of room for C# Scripts.

A feature request I always had for VLC was simply, allow me to click the video to pause it. (And also, allow me to drag the video to move it) I figured they didn't want to do it because of their large user-base, don't change what&

I'm also interested in what happens to the bag labels in hot water. I'm always using these single use tea bags and the label always falls in the cup.

I feel like this is a common problem with almost all CI/CD offerings. At my company we ended up just installing a local build agent on a powerful pc, and using that for the 'frequent, but not super important' builds, such as

I'm really worried that AMD has won the battle, but lost the war in terms of x86 being replaced by ARM in the next decade.

I agree, I always found it strange that an app aimed for gaming really has better performance than slack/teams and their massive budgets behind them. But I never saw a company that uses discord for communication.

I am aware of this, but like many other, I find the IOptions<T> a bad abstraction. This blog has similar thoughts: https://rimdev.io/strongly-typed-configuration-settings-in-a... or this blog: https://ada

I'm going to have to disagree here. Having a settings object is much easier then appsettings.Test.json The .json is for running the application locally. A unit test should be able to cover if a setting has value 'a, b or c',

I agree. The first thing I always do is make a custom Settings class which just loads settings via good old `Environment.GetEnvironmentVariable`. Super simple and never failed me. Bonus Points, by loading all settings at once into strongly

I agree, a bug can lead to excitement. A bug somewhere deep in a framework that is now causing issues on production, no amusement to be found.

It was unclear to me from the article, if you don't set an init property during construction, does it get default value or compiler error?

I agree it would be best if FF was it's own foundation. I would like to hear some arguments from Mozilla about this. It seems an idea that only has upsides to me. I get the feeling Mozilla is kind-of hijacking the donations people thin

This is the problem though. I want to support Firefox and MDN. If I donate to Mozilla, the majority of my donation will not go to these efforts. If they let us decide which parts of Mozilla we wanted to support with our donation, then I wou

I know it's against the HN rules to complain, but this comment really feels so generic. Like every time a JS project is posted, 'oh npm is so bloated'. Everytime there is a new app, 'oh electron is so inefficient'.
