The performance talk is about ghostty, which you did not mention trying. You mention alacritty, which is GPU based and offers good performance, but you're quick to rebuttal on unrelated projects.

Tests are a type of runtime validation, they require literal execution of your code to perform the validation. This supports static verification of queries, your code doesn't need to run to validate the type is correct. I don't ca

Your repository return type may say what it returns, but how would you statically prove the structure of the raw SQL string? Most of the detection today is at runtime perhaps building a class or validating the data.

This is a feature for projects already using Node and Vite (which is quite popular these days). It's also not a requirement. The binary still exists, you can run it standalone.

Except on Android, where you couldn't even tag saved articles. I noticed development had stopped weeks ago. Sort of figured something like this was going to happen. Unfortunate, but I'll be happy on Wallabag again. I'd been j

I wonder if anyone has utilized trace capabilities like head and tail based sampling _for logging_. You could potentially have the same logic used to determine that logs do not need to be generated because there are no transaction logs ahea

I almost wonder whether they even care about changing it, because why? This site has been completely functional aside from some load-bearing issues here and there. It's not like it's an ad plagued, high stakes, profitable venture.

Assumedly, implementing the logic yourself for transcoding source content into various encodings on demand. If you're storing 1080p h265 MP4s in R2 and the client can only support 480p h264 it'll request that but you need to "

It's a joke about mass vs weight, since the imperial "pound" is unspecific as to being pound-_mass_ or pound-_force_, the latter being based on Earth's standard gravitional field. The conversion of kilograms, mass, to po

I see this mentions 2018+ GPUs, but I'm curious why this wouldn't work on say a 1080Ti. My cursory look at the hardware specs shows this has support for CUDA8+ and this states 7.5 Would someone be able to tell me more about this?
