I have the same i7-920 (overclocked at 3GHz) with 12Gb RAM. I have it since 2008 and I'm not planning to replace it anytime soon.

Miscrosft doesn't need to support these CPUs, they are x86_64 compatibles. You can install, says, Windows 2000 on an AMD Ryzen and it would just work.

Safari uses Webkit (a fork of KHTML), Opera and Chrome use Blink (a fork of Webkit), Firefox uses Gecko. Except on iOS where all browsers are forced to use a crippled version of Webkit.
