I've been asking for quite some time what the fundamental difference is between BTC and BCH that would warrant such a price difference. I've not heard an answer that has satisfied me yet.

In my experience REST is just a code word for a distributed glob of function calls which communicate via JSON. It's a development and maintenance nightmare.

What does this buy over all the other terminal emulators? I see why the component is in IDEs so the developer doesn't need to switch apps to get to the terminal. Now a full fledged JVM shell that supports most of the commands we come t

Yep, there are so many options one couldn't list them all. I spent the first 10 years of my career in defense contracting and got out because I didn't want to contribute at all to that. Since then I've worked for companies wh

I'm getting on in years so I'm becoming progressively more ignorant on technical matters. But with respect to something like software development, what you've described sounds a lot like creating a detailed design or even p

While it may be true most email startups fail, rolling over and saying the UI has been solved is a bit defeatist IMO. Does the author even know about hey.com?

Yes they will. I'd never heard the term T9 before this thread. If I saw it on its own I'd think Arnold was attempting to make another Terminator movie.

I use Java and Spring extensively. If I am in a lead role and have say over the code base I won't allow mocking frameworks to be used in tests. If you want a good way to shine a light on poorly structured code, disallow mocking framewo

The Smalltalk implementation is off. Scan is a verb not a noun and I think the readability the author was seeking would be more plain by sending messages to an antenna to ask it to move it's position and report back it's scan time

Fast, good, cheap; pick two. It's the single immutable law in software development and the one thing management has been trying to circumvent for decades. This is just their latest incantation.
