There's a big difference in when you break silence though. Strategically, much better to keep it until all the facts are known to your side. At the start, the police/government have the informational advantage. In other countri

The state is so powerful that inviduals should be given such affordances, and should be allowed the put the state to strict proof. Europe is a nonsense in this regard: you have rights, except all the special cases when you don't. You

Having driven in both, Americans don't take naturally to roundabouts and it would be difficult to teach all the existing drivers about them. Same in the UK when they add new rules: most drivers remain completely unaware of them.

Seems untenable because I can just lie to you about my intended use. I borrow your hammer to build a cabin. Oops, I actually used it to murder people. Enjoy the millions in damages.

They have the right to question, but I don't have to testify to anything, that's what the fifth ammendment is for. As usual, Europe doesn't care about internal consistency when it comes to rights. They just legislate (or rul

Is this relevant to the question of whether we should replace the link? Seems like we're going to spend a lot of time running down the views of the UBO of every domain posted here.

I think it's an excuse to do needed lay offs without saying as much. So yes, preserving signals, essentially. I've never met a tech company that didn't love expanding work to fill capacity, even if the work is of little val

A bit simplistic. The bakery can just expand its product range or do various other things to add work. In fact that's exactly what I would expect to happen at a tech company, ceteris paribus.

I assume this is probably a function of our respective locations, because the most popular stories I see as an 'outsider' are those that would discourage tourism or immigration, not those that would worry already-citizens. To addr

These are all forms of false positives but the most popular news stories seem to be where they detain the correct person, correct legal status, lawfully, and the story happens to gloss over the facts about the legal status and focuses on th

There's just no distinction between accounts like that, 'accounts' are just crypto wallets. There's no system that would ever care about the 'age' of your account here. There's no DD. If you have a wall

Yes, I basically do everything the lazy/thoughtless way for a first pass. I find in 99% of cases that's already performant enough and matches the intended data flow, but if you ever want to optimize it, you can. The same is also

Normally I would put as many invariants in the types as possible, then tests cover the rest. I'm curious how you do this/what you use it for though. Would be cool if you had any examples.

I find this doesn't work automatically for me because the projects I'm on have a lot of conditional compilation feature flags that it doesn't quite understand how to cargo check properly, unless I tell it. Maybe for your case

You can add a callback to e.g. Claude to guarantee it does a cargo check and test.

I think the more you can shift to compile time the better when it comes to agents. Go is therefore 'ok', but the type system isn't as useful as other options. I would say Rust is quite good for just letting something churn t

Not in this context it's not. Companies can't create Polymarket accounts. Polymarket accounts are just email addresses or alternatively crypto wallets. And there's no purpose I can imagine to aging them.
