Long time C coder here. Knowing this stuff just shows you've had more interaction with your C compiler(s) than with humans, which is fine (I knew quite a few of the details except for some of the C++ differences because, well, I code C, not

Super comment, thank you very much. What about the Israeli/Palestinian issue? I find that tends to polarize people strongly as well.

Collaboration with a bad government is always optional, you can cease to do business. That's definitely tenable. It takes a lot of balls to do so. Imagine google coming right out and saying: 'Our do no evil motto is our guiding light and we

Ah, but think of the sponsor & advertising angle. Rent out the space on your t-shirt. Eventually every surface will turn in to an ad. And animated ads after that. The animated t-shirt can't be all that far into our future.

Your problem with downvotes is yours, if you don't want to risk being downvoted you should probably not comment here. It happens. This 'not being reddit' (or slashdot for that matter) has nothing to do with it. Downvotes are a way to push n

An IPO may be much further down the line and not everybody wants to (or has to) run a public company. 'Going Public' is not just a positive thing, it comes with a large pile of headaches as well and it isn't unusual at all to see a big ch

That's not just supported 'by another book' but it matches what I feel about how we should treat clones. After all, if a clone is identical you'd have to come up with some pretty contorted reasoning to argue that they are 'not people'. Also
