Rust. It's fast and the syntax feels like OCaml/Haskell. Like Haskell, the compiler does a LOT for you. It's the practical Haskell.

Thanks for checking it out. txtpen differs from hypothesis in 2 aspects. 1. Full publisher control. Publishers can moderate and pin highlights on their sites. However, all annotations can be retrieved via RESTful API as per W3C standards. 2
