Or just use a $2 Arduino clone, a 12V pump and a 50¢ TTL MOSFET.. And you'll even be able to add soil moisture sensors to compensate for external factors like air temperature/humidity

Yeah, the way I see it it's a convenience feature at best - if you car can't brake in time for the people around the corner, it has no business driving the current speed. In the end, you can't rely on other cars telling you i

It's possible to statically JIT the hotspots, then statically link that code into the app. You'd probably have to rewrite lots of qemu code though..

Not a problem if you use iOS9: https://labsblog.f-secure.com/2015/09/09/apple-ios-9-securit... For Android, you can root it and disable USB host functions when locked.

Don't worry too much about it - unless you ban all existing cars, we're stuck with the mixed traffic for the foreseeable future. Once you're 100% robotic, you could just use smaller cars to get more effective lanes instead of

There's a Wiki specifically for that purpose [1]. I had minimal problems buying Fyve (Vodafone MVNO) SIM cards two years ago, activated at the point of purchase if I remember correctly. I had to cut them to Nano SIM size myself though.

This could be as simple as directly connecting ESP8266 GPIO to a solid state relay and programming ESP8266 to change the state of the pin in response to a HTTP post, e.g. [1] Note that you should probably familiarize yourself with basic ele

You can't 'take a snapshot of its RAM' - if you could, there would be no need for NAND write block, you'd just patch the PIN delay/limit functions directly in RAM. CPU and RAM are stacked into the same IC package h

I thought the whole point of those DIY projects was to learn something? If you just use what you already know (.NET) for everything, why even bother? Just buy a readymade IoT thermometer. PS. and you can apparently use .NET on Linux anyway
