Microsoft is a business. Why would it serve their interests to make all this opt-out by default?
- PhasmaFelis 11y agoAre you saying that it's hopeless to expect businesses not to be jerks, or that it's morally acceptable to be a jerk as long as the shareholders see a return on it?
- forthefuture 11y agoIt's more that a business can't be a jerk because it's not a person. It doesn't matter if it's morally acceptable as long as it's legal. Morality is something you make up to tell other people that what you believe in is right.
