I think you nailed it, at least for me. I am a regular Google+ user, and I never created a Facebook account. When I wanted to share stuff with people I posted it on my website or sent out emails to hand-selected groups with shared interests. G+ circles were a blessing for me. I hope I won't have to leave Google+
