Funny and accurate summary. I'm 25 (and planning to marry and have children) but I'm realistic about what child-raising will be like, and don't entertain egalitarian fantasies. This is partly because I went through two divorces in my childhood (mum & dad, then mum & stepfather); and also because my parents were quite liberal. People who've had traditional upbringings can daydream about bringing up their own children in a more liberal way, but having lived it from the inside -- it does have advantages but there are also glaring flaws.
