You're likely correct, but you and I could probably give them a list of 50 things they "can't afford" to be doing in about 10 minutes. Point is that it's not for us to say what a person does with their money. If the only benefit of this is that it gets a person through college or post college table hopping without a completely destroyed credit, perhaps it is worth the $150.
