This is just bad project management. Many good development environments include technical debt as stories in their sprints. You shouldn't give up. Keep pushing

This is just bad project management. Many good development environments include technical debt as stories in their sprints. You shouldn't give up. Keep pushing (politely) because you're right. At some point you'll have to decide to stay and keep up the fight or move to another company and in the interview process explicitly ask how they handle technical debt. When you find a company that has a reasonable approach, take the job and run.
