- austenallred 11y agoAd block isn't quite as ubiquitous as HN seems to think it is
- jaksmit 11y agoI also don't know if it would apply here. As these are "native" ads to LinkedIn. They don't really label them as ads much. I guess if the <div> mentions ads then it might be blocked.
- quadrature 11y agoI dont use linkedin much but I just tested it and it blocked 4 ads on the page.
- quadrature 11y agoWhich is why I qualified it with "within the tech circle", I'd be really surprised if the precentage of Ad block users on this forum was less than 80%.
- dangrossman 11y agoIf HN is like other tech sites, then it'll be more like 20% than 80%. http://www.quora.com/What-is-the-percentage-of-Internet-users-that-employ-AdBlock-Plus-or-similar-ad-blocking-plugins http://www.quora.com/What-is-the-percentage-of-Internet-user... My developer-oriented sites don't see abnormally high rates of ad blockers either.
- Zarathustra30 11y agoIf I like a site enough, I turn ad block off. If the ads aren't annoying, I leave ad block off.
- rwhitman 11y agoAdblock and any other plugin that manipulates the DOM interferes with web frontend work, also marketing work.
