Biological and chemical weapons were easy to ban because
their use didn't provide the great powers any relative advantage. In fact Russia continued to have a very active chemical and biological weapons program, including stockpiles. They just never put it to use.
- ZenoArrow 11y agoBiological and chemical weapons provide huge tactical advantages to anyone sick enough to use them on a wide scale. They can wipe out whole cities just by poisoning the water supply. Just be glad that we've made it harder for amoral groups to try.
