The reason is, the future.
Because Golang, and C#, and Python, and more, are more open than Java. Java doesn't support iOS and other devices officially. Oracle is even not happy to let Java support Android.
- vcarl 11y agoThat Oracle wants to prevent Java from being used on certain platforms after how heavily Java was marketed as the "runs on everything forever!" language is absurd to me.
