Poll: How often do you use ed?
I must admit I fall in the second category, as I'm far from a power user.
- lucumo 17y agoHow about "never"?
- ez77 17y agoDone!
- wingo 17y agoObligatory: http://www.gnu.org/fun/jokes/ed.msg http://www.gnu.org/fun/jokes/ed.msg
- grayrest 17y agoDoes the vim mode count? :)
- chops 17y agoNever. Vim is all I use for editing.
- jff 17y agoSometimes, you're connecting across the country via dialup and you just really don't feel like waiting on vi. Alternately, you've screwed up the settings on your Plan 9 box and must use ed to change them in console mode :)
- NikkiA 17y agoAnd in those situations, I just use tramp :)
