"a mobile greenhouse where you can grow your own coffee beans"
I'd be fascinated to learn more about the tech behind this. Last time I looked into growing your own coffee, the summary was "don't".
- benkuykendall 11y agoIt doesn't seem at all practical. Given a maximum yield of 30000 lbs/(acre*year) [1], and with an area of < 16 square feet, we get < 1 pound of coffee a year. Maybe you could grow something else. Flowers, strawberries, herbs? [1] http://www.britannica.com/plant/coffee-plant-genus http://www.britannica.com/plant/coffee-plant-genus
