Some variation of this question comes up every couple of months. It's unfortunate that somehow many people get the message that they are not among the 'select' group of people who can learn new things. Especially since this belief often becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. I feel sympathy for people, of whatever age, who seem to need reassurance that, yes, they really are capable of learning.
