Startups for Inheritors
So I have to admit --- inheriting money is not a good thing, it made me lose focus and motivation. I dropped out of college several times due to a lack of motivation.
The first 2 times I applied back, I got accepted by both the school and visa officer. But the last time when I reapplied back to study in USA about 3 years ago, I got accepted by the school but got my visa denied by the consular officer.
I didn't have any criminal convictions or get deported. Neither did I overstay mu visa at any single time to the very best of my knowledge. I definitely did not get arrested or convicted in any way shape or form. The visa officer told me to reapply back only when my personal financial, career circumstances have improved dramatically.
I have now spent a lot of time and money on a college education without any form of return and am feeling depressed as I have few friends and have no skills.
Does anyone here think that there is a market for startups for people who inherit/are going to inherit large sums of money ? Perhaps like a social networking site for individuals like these who want to find friends, learn new skills like programming, business partners, work out plans for travel, study, emigration , look for great investments?
I find it very hard to find good financial advisors in Singapore, most of whom mainly just want to make a quick buck out of you by selling policies that your family doesn't need , especially if they know that you are rich.
Perhaps a social networking site to connect inheritors with other inheritors and professional hedge fund managers and technology "visionaries" who will let us invest money in their startups.
I for example, would love to be able to invest in the next Apple, Google or Microsoft but I have little opportunity to do so because I don't have the correct social network and the startup scene isn't so hot here in Singapore. (My dream is to emigrate to Europe through the investor program by investing many millions of dollars in their economy and creating high-value jobs there, get married and have a family and play my favourite game Weiqi while relaxing on the beach :p)
So perhaps a social network for high net worth individuals/families with total net assets 15 million USD and above? I just realised that its something I actually urgently need myself ... just wanted to post here to get some feedback on this ...
