In particular, Chrome stopped optimizing for SunSpider with their last JIT, as they optimized for longer running apps (such as ones you'd find on the web) but took a hit on SunSpider. But SunSpider is a really bad benchmark anyway. All benchmarks are bad and suffer real problems, but SunSpider more than most.
