If it is all so dopamine related, why don't they just give people dopamine? I take it that it is much more complicated than just dopaminergic reactions at play here?
- jokr004 11y agoOne big reason is because dopamine does not cross the blood brain barrier... you can't just give it to someone and have it end up in the brain.
- willholloway 11y agoDeprenyl works by inhibiting the chemicals in the brain that break down dopamine. The result is higher concentrations. The effect is sustainable.
