Something that I'm a bit worried about, I used to try to run performance sensitive game servers on a Xen based virtual machine, was that no matter how many resources I tried to dedicate to the virtual machine. The xen scheduler would give hitchy performance. introducing large enough delays sporadically to make playing the game a little painful. Does anybody know much about the EC2 hyper-visor schedulers or in the case of large instances, does it even run with a serious hypervisor?
