Yup. Our solution to the health care crisis is punishing people who don't buy health insurance. Hurray America.
- clavalle 17y agoHonestly, I don't see the problem with this. Some of the people who are least likely to get health insurance are the most likely to engage in risky behavior and end up with health care bills they can't pay. Those costs have to go somewhere and they end up on the plates of those who made the decision to get health insurance, unfairly penalizing them. When you expect something from society (in this case health care when you need it most) you should not be surprised that society demands something from you and collectively decides to punish you if you refuse.
