Ask HN: Does anyone have experience with franchises?

Hi, We're a startup focused on retailers and in particular franchises. We are in the market research phase and would like to learn more about the franchising industry. Would anyone on HN have any experience working with franchises? We'd also be happy to buy you a cup of coffee. Thanks!
