It's clear what's going on: sanitization of discussion (making it a "safe space") and monetezation.
- shostack 11y agoBingo. You'd think they'd realize though that users don't want a safe space. The controversy is what attracts them.
- hoopd 11y agoStarting an impossible fight to sanitize the thoughts of the 3.5 million people who log in everyday guarantees an endless supply of controversy. It's also a controversy Pao wants them to be talking about, she gets to control the conversations of millions of people. It will also make the site even more toxic as everybody takes sides and starts the same fights over and over again.
