  Also "The Smash Brothers"[1] is a ~4 hour episodal documentary about the competitive history of Super Smash Brothers Melee, which evolved out of what was originally thought to be a gimmicky party game. I do feel like it could have been plausibly edited to half the length or so, but its impressive how much material they managed to gather.
