  I can't think of a situation that would make me want to move nodes around from place to place. Where would that be useful?

    A position:absolute div with position:relative parent made sibling of the parent can behave differently.

  Chrome dev tools also support node drag-and-drop as well as ctrl-x/c/v in the Elements panel.

    Yes, and now that Firefox has this, I do not need to swap to Chrome to use it.
